Not A Valid JSON Response

    Hello,

    I have installed and activated the Metaslider plugin with no problem. I have created a gallery with no problems. Then I used the MetaSlider block to display the slider as widget in Sidebar area. I pointed the widget to the new gallery and hit Update. I got an error saying “the response is not a valid JSON response”. I went back to Dashboard, deactived all other plugins, activated the Metaslider and tried again. Same error.

    Hi @martin80906

    I’m not able to reproduce the error in local.

    1. Does the error disappear if you remove MetaSlider block, insert another widget and hit Update button?
    2. Which version of WordPress and MetaSlider are you using?

    Thank you for your quick response. I have tried to add and update another widget to the Sidebar, and the same thing happened. My WP ver is 6.9 and MetaSlider ver is 3.103

    I use a WordPress package by Namecheap, on their server. The only other thing I have noticed is that sometimes an update of post takes very long before it shows completion. I’ll go back to their tech support.

    Thanks Martin. Across all the plugin we run, we’ve seen more issues with Namecheap than any other host. Please post back if you need more help.

    The problem was with the website service provider, they have to fix the way one of their WordPress packages communicates with widgets – not just the MetaSlider block. It’s working now, thanks for help.
