Not all feed items imported

    Hello

    Problem:

    Not all the feed items of the feed source would import. The average maximum was 10, and some show only 5 items when there are obviously a lot more feed items from the site.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi, I have the same issue – more than 100 feed items, yet the feed URL shows only 3 – despite using dashboard settings which allow for many more.

    Aha: I just figured out that the number of feed items showing up seems to take its settings from the WP Dashboard General Settings > Reading settings about how many items to display on a blog page at once. When I increased the number from 3 to 4, I got 4 instead.

    Is there a way to determine this number independently of the number of items allowed on a blog page?

    Hi @jfantasybooks and @wiredpinecone

    The limit of feed items that can be imported could be set from general setting or from its feed source setting.

    Please make sure they have the correct and intended setting before importing.

    My Feed source Settings are on default. As for my general settings, I have it listed as No Limit.

    Doesn’t that mean the Feed Source Settings follow the ‘No limit’ as default means following the general settings? Or do I have it wrong?

    If so, What is the Default? Is default 10 items? Must I specify 1000 or so to get all the feed items for all of the sources by hand?

    I would think there is a much easier option. I want no limit in importing feed items.

    Can you help with this?

    So I found the problem.

    Apparently WordPress allows sites to limit the syndication feeds that they show under [Settings]–> [Reading] > [Syndication feeds show the most recent]. The default is 10. So unless that is changed, WP-rss Aggregator won’t import more than 10 feeds, regardless of the force feed or general settings.

    Is there a way around this?

    Could you send us the RSS Feed URL you are trying to import? So that we can take a look at it.

    I sent a message through the channel.

    Using my site as a feed can be used as an example to see how you would approach this. It has been set by wordpress (not by wp-aggregator) to only allow syndication of feeds 10 and under in quantity.
