• Hi,
    Nice idea for a plugin.
I have a problem though, I tried to block my phone from connecting by getting the login wrong enough times (not using my wifi so actually using a different internet connection) but instead of getting the IP address of my 3G connection, it looks like a local IP address of my hosting provider (???) is instead blocked as the IP is in the 10.130.25. range.

Consequently I can continue to access the site through this connection.
The htaccess file has been modified with this incorrect IP address. If I manually edit the htaccess file to the phones 3G ip address then the site is correctly blocked.

    Is this problem my end?
    Thanks

OK, overnight, someone has earned themselves a ban 🙂 and looks like a proper external address, however they made 20 logon attempts (all in the same minute) at different usernames when I have the ban limit set at 4 attempts.

is it 4 attempts at the same username ?

They seem to have earned themselves a long ban of 8 days from the repeated failed attempts despite my setting being 12 hours. (I realise additional failed attempts leads to longer ban)
