Not changing roles

    Changes to role capabilities are not working. For example, I made a test user as a contributor and to change their capabilities I navigate to users -> all users -> user -> capabilities. This loads the user role editor screen. When I click “select all” on the right to give this user all of the capabilities available, and then click update, it does not update the user’s backend on wordpress, which I have logged in on a different browser. Am I doing something wrong?

    Reopen user capabilities page for that user again. Is your update still in place, that is all caps are turned on?
    I may suppose this as the only reason when nothing changes after you changed user capabilities this radical way.

    Thanks for your response. The issue was that there was already a role manager plugin activated and was overriding this one.
