• Hi I think it would make sense to mention that the theme sidebars are not flexible and can be removed. It might be a good plugin if you want to customize your own sidebars but the impression given in the description is that you can change any sidebar whatever way you fancy – which you cant. I am working in Fashionista.

  • Hi @hrhodin,

Thanks for your feedback on this, really sorry if you found the description at all confusing though. It actually relies on information about sidebars like described here: http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Sidebars

So rather than letting you remove existing sidebar areas from your theme (that’s best done through the theme code itself), it lets you customize those areas, letting you potentially leave them blank on specific pages.

That’s actually clarified a bit more with the following from the description:

“If you’d like to show different widgets on the sidebars or footers of any area of your site – then this is the plugin for you.”

The plugin’s incredibly flexible, it just works within the confines of standard WordPress sidebar functionality.

    Does that make sense?

I’d love to discuss this with you and see if you might be willing to re-evaluate this. In fact, you could create a new post here:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/custom-sidebars

And we’ll gladly look into concerns you have with the plugin, possibly provide viable workarounds or alternatives for you.

Hoping we can discuss this further with ya! 🙂
