Not checking for http *and* https protocol

I’m very sorry to hear of your share count losses.

I experienced the same when switching simplesharebuttons.com to https, I promptly raised a ticket with them and they claimed it was a ‘different URL, and therefore a correct share count’.

I coded the plugin to display a total of http + https but the http counts ended up dropping off entirely a few days later. In total simplesharebuttons.com lost ~3.5k shares 🙁

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to retain your previously earned share counts, apologies.
