We have been using your Participants Database plugin on our site for several years. We are collecting data to help local companies find employees. Recently we have noticed a few issues. I am not sure if they are plugin issues or WordPress issues. When someone goes to the link above on MS Edge. It allows the user to complete the “form” and when you click on Register, it takes you back to the page before. Previously it would take you to the “Thank you for Registering” page and you would get an email to address entered. Now the entry never gets recorded and there is no email saying you registered.

I tested on Edge and Firefox with the same result. However, on Chrome you do get the page “Thank your for registering”, but you do not get an email saying the entry was successful. But , as an admin I do get an email notifying us of a new entry. Sorry for the length of the description. I am not a WordPress expert by any means, Just trying to solve an issue. And not sure what do to next. Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

First thing to do is make sure your are not using a page cache on both pages, the registration page, and the “thanks” page. A caching plugin (if you’re using one) will give you a way to exempt pages from caching.

Generally, when things work and then suddenly stop working, it’s helpful to look at what has changed on the site that might affect things…such as a new plugin, plugin updates or a theme update.

Since you are seeing a difference between browsers, this does suggest some kind of caching issue, since the browser is not directly involved in sending the user to the thanks page.

Thank you….How do I tell if we are using a page cache on these pages? Someone else set up this site and I am now trying to manage this website and I am learning as I go.

This is usually done with a plugin, you can start by checking the plugins page in your site admin, look for a plugin that does caching or site acceleration. These plugins will have a settings page.where you can configure how they work. Sometimes it is easiest to just deactivate it and do some tests to see if it helps. If it makes no difference, you can just re-activate it. There are lots of plugins like this, I can’t be too specific since I don’t know which ones you might have.
