Not compatible with BuddyBoss

    Hi,
    The plugin is not quite compatible with BuddyBoss theme and platform.
    I can use it in location form fields but when being used in searching the location of users, it doesn’t work.
    Would you mind fixing that?

    The BP xProfile Location plugin does not currently provide radial distance support for the BuddyBoss > Profile Search module.

    Your request makes sense.
    We will consider adding that support, but it is complicated.

    Currently, we provide radial distance search if you are using the free BP Profile Search plugin and our premium BP Maps for Members plugin. And that combination works with the BuddyBoss Platform.

    So, no promises, but we’ll consider adding distance support for the BuddyBoss > Profile Search.

    I believe there’s a lot of people who need that. Even if you made this option premium I would buy it.

    Version 4.1 adds distance support for BuddyBoss > Profile Search.
    Please note that the BuddyBoss search interface has a broken icon.
    We have submitted a patch to them, but we cannot control when they will apply that patch.

    Hi,
    Thanks a lot. It’s working great for me.
    I have a suggestion:
    The UI of it is not quite user friendly so I’m attaching two photos here that I’d seen earlier on Listing Pro theme and I think it’s more user friendly and you could probably follow that.
    HERE the auto locate icon is in the search box.
    And HERE if you hover on the ‘Near me’ button, you can select the distance. So, if you could combine these two, it’d be awesome.

    Perhaps you could write a review.

    Re the UI: the Bp xProfile Location plugin does not provide a search interface. So the UI you are referring to comes from some other code, perhaps BuddyBoss Search Profile.

    I’d be happy to and I’m gonna leave the review right away.
    Also, for me it displays the whole thing like THIS. Is there something you could recommend to make look better.

    Thanks for the review.
    To change the UI, you’ll probably need to customize the UI template.
    I think you are using BP Profile Search.
    Their website has good plugin documentation.
