Hi, the bottom three images on my site (by the latest blog post section) are each 768x560px (generated by WordPress from the original uploads which are much bigger). However, when I went to compress each of the three original ones, and clicked details to see all of the sizes, it said that 768×560 was ‘not in use’. So those specific generated sized images have not been compressed, and Google PageSpeed Insights has also picked this up. Do you know how I can solve this? Thank you in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @saajidah,

If an image size says “not in use” then this means it may have been created by WordPress and optimised in the past but that your WordPress installation no longer has this image size in use. So in that case it would not really make sense to optimize either.

So something else must be happening.

If you have the latest plugin version 3.1 you can hover over the image size in the details popup and it should show the actual image filename. Maybe you can compare this with the name of the file that Google PageSpeed reports.
