We decided to use your new plugin since the old one is no longer supported and our key from Crossway no longer works. Upon loading the new plugin and receiving a key from DBP we pasted the code as instructed to our page. It displays the date and verses for the day but no actual verses are loaded. Is this as it was intended? Upon reading the description is seems it was to load the actual text as well.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Same result, no verses.

Please accept my apologies for not responding sooner. I thought I had this set up to notify me when someone posted. But evidently not.

Try the newest version 0.4.1 to see if you get the same result. Also try the American Bible Society API. Then let me know.

I’ll try again to get this set up properly so that I’m notified. I also check more frequently.

Same result with version 0.4.1, no scripture text. Same result if using source=’DBP’ or source=’ABS’. It also always says M’Cheyne One-Year Reading plan even when set to:

    [bible-reading-plan reading_plan=’daily-light-on-the-daily-path-morning’ source=’ABS’]

Part of your problem is that you are using ’ instead of ‘ in the shortcode. It took me quite a while to be able to see that difference. 🙂

It might also be that you have JavaScript disabled. I don’t know.

Try replacing the ’ with ‘, then let me know what the result is.

@jhousley9011 — You seem to have resolved the problem you had. Is that correct?

    OK. I’ll follow that there.

I have now published Version 0.5, which I very much hope has cleaned up all of the errors in ill-fated 0.4.
