Are you getting the out of diskspace error as well?
I have a similar problem
After I start importing, I get the message “Checking extensions compatibility…” for 6 hours
I don’t suppose this is relevant, but the only change I made to the site since the last successful backup was to deactivate the Simple WP Membership plugin.

I am sorry, I omitted saying that the alternative is to download the backup file via *FTP*. The backups are stored in wp-content/ai1wm-backups folder.
The primary way would be to check the backups section of the plugin in wp-admin dashboard and download from there.
Sorry, I’m completely out of my depth. I’m just a viola player.

For example, I’ve never used FTP…
I can see in the plug-in’s backups that the exports that I thought weren’t happening appear to be there. Previously exports have gone to the OS Downloads folder, from where I transferred them to an external drive by way of real backup. Can you tell me how to get the files from your backup folder into mine?
