    Hi
The “Was this review helpful to you? Yes No” Creates a follow link. This follow link is creating crawling errors and delay with google for us.
If I look at the google webmaster today. 103K pages have been excluded. a large portion (25%) have the link created by this feature of your plugin. We have disabled this in the production version of the website. However if you can create the links generated by the review plugin on our product page to be not-follow it will be greatly appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Thanks for using our plugin!

Sorry but I don’t really see an issue here. It is a common practice to have a link to the page itself. If could provide a link to Google documentation saying that this is a bad practice, we’d be happy to analyze the issue and think about possible solutions.

sir all i am asking is to convert these to a no-follow link.

    Thanks for the clarification.

We always want to improve the plugin based on suggestions from the community. However, since the plugin is now installed at 20000+ stores, we have to be careful with changing the existing functionality of the plugin. For this reason, we need to confirm that proposed improvements/changes are logical and make sense for all stores that use the plugin.

This is why I asked you to provide some documentation that confirms benefits of changing internal “do-follow” links to internal “no-follow” links. It will help in the situation when some other person asks us to revert the changes back to how they were before.

Hi for some reason the email reply that I wrote is not showing up in the forum thread. Can you please share your email address. I need to email you the csv file from google on product exclusions.

    1. I went to google search console
    2. go to coverage
    3. excluded pages
    4. select page with redirect
    5. download report.
I am attaching a sample from the 89k pages that were excluded by google crawl bots. Since my indexed page is only 1.13k this is a huge number for me. You can analyze this report. more than 25% of the exclusions are links that were created by cusrev plugins

More exclusions, harder it is for google to crawl. Harder it is to crawl, lower is the page ranking.

Thanks for providing additional information. Can you please also share a link to Google documentation or blog saying that this is a bad practice? We’d be happy to analyze the issue and think about possible solutions.

We haven’t heard from you for more than two weeks. For this reason, I’ll assume that either you are not interested in this question/problem anymore or it has been resolved. If this is not the case, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help.
