That’s not how the plugin works.
It doesn’t prevent people from accessing a site at all. Never has. You’ll need a privacy type plugin for that.
OK. I get it now – “Users who are not logged in will be redirected to the perpage you select from the dropdowns. ” means that “register” redirects…
“Lost my password” though goes to my root site so I dont know which site they are coming from. Is that a problem with my site?
No. That’s how multisite works. You can filter it if you want.

OK, thats how it works. BUt there’s a lot of people who think otherwise on that trac. I have to agree with the thinking that if someone loses their password that they would not want one for a totally different site, I appreciate that your plugin handles users registered on the main site for the subdomains. But anyway I can’t get the plugin that forces login to whitelist join-my multisite anyway. Not your problem but definitely part of mine.
Thanks anyway.
I’m of the opinion that hiding the fact that you’re on a network is a bad idea and you shouldn’t be using Multisite if that’s the requirement. That’s for a variety of reasons (including legal ones in my mind).
I hadn’t thought about it much in that way. But I kind of make a thing about joining Bell Computing Sites. Their default tag line during development after all is “Another Bell Computing Site”. I can’t say they fully understand the implications of being on my network, I try to make their life as uncomplicated as I can. But I would rather they just had access to their own part of it. If I can resolve the whitelisting of join-my-multisite with the login plugin I think this plugin is the solution.
Thanks.
