    Hi,

I just tried this plugin for the first time and found it have bugs, lack of features, etc.

    I will list them below.

I don’t think its fair to leave a review (it would not be a good one) until I give the developers a chance to respond.

    1) Dashboard screen

Confusing name – The Dashboard of the plugin seems only to be a UI to enable Modules.

Why not call it Modules then?

This is confusing because I thought it was a page to set up the admin Dashboard of the site.

    Very confusing interface

Eg it has text that says

    , Frequently Used

Status – Well it is not a Status (ie if the Module is working well or not) it is Enabled

Edit Module – Well you dont edit it, you change its settings

    2) Widget Visibility

First of all NO widgets were listed even after I went back to Dashboard

So this is a bug and it is also a bug that you should need to go to Dashboard in the first place.

Choose the widgets which you want to remove from the WP dashboard.

Well I just dont want any of them shown, but there is no way to do this. Ie I have to select each one, but what if another plugin adds another widget?

Another bug: Dashboard welcome message does not show in Dashboard

There are other things as well but I dont want to spend more time on this.

Overall my impression is that this plugin has a lot of bugs, confusing naming and labeling, etc.

Just my feedback and again not leaving a negative review…

    Hello @wpfan1000

    I trust you’re doing well!

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, we really appreciate it.

Branda’s Dashboard menu, showing frequently used modules so these could be easily accessed plus it has a shortcut to enable/deactivate all available modules. I’m sorry to hear that you find it confusing, but I can see why the menu name can be confusing.

All modules that allow editing admin dashboards are located under Branda > Admin Area.

As for modules’ status it is showing if these are Enabled or Inactive

    Widget Visibility

This option allows hiding widgets from wp-admin dashboard. If no widget was listed on the admin’s dashboard before this option is enabled. these are hidden on your site from “Screen Options”.

I’ve tested the Widget Visibility and it is working well. Please make sure that from Screen Options as shown in the screenshot below, the boxes are ticked:

Well I just dont want any of them shown, but there is no way to do this. Ie I have to select each one, but what if another plugin adds another widget?

At the moment there is no option to hid all the widgets at once, although this is nice suggestion and I’ve forwarded it to our developers.

Another bug: Dashboard welcome message does not show in Dashboard

I’m afraid I can’t replicate the issue on my site. The Welcome dashboard is showing well. Please make sure that the Welcome box is tickets from Screen Options as shown in this screenshot:

    I hope this helps!

    Kind regards,
