Hello,
What do you mean you can only choose an interval of 2 hours? The plugin allows you to enter in your own interval via the settings page. Can you please be more specific?
When choosing a interval no matter what number I add, i resets to 2 hours, also will not post automatically.
Thats very strange, have you tried values like 3 or 5?
Yes, but really I want it to be every hour.
Any ideas what I have to post manually.
We see what you mean and we just released an update to declared the minimum interval to 1 hour π Please make sure you update to version 1.1.6.
Updated and now can set to 1 hour – but its still does now update itself which makes the 1 hour setting void.
Any thoughts
Have you tried to reset the Status to inactive and then back to active again? This sometimes fixes the problem since it will reset the Cron job.
tried this last night, but no luck – deactivated the whole plugin then reactivated – still nothing.
That is so strange. So the reshare now works but the auto sharing is not working? We use the built in WordPress wp_schedule_event() function.
This will act like a cron job but it is not a pure cron job. The event will only run if your site has been pinged recently. So if you are using a test site or have very minimal traffic, less then 3 views a day, then the plugin might not work as expected.
Also, if you have any custom settings or plugins that inhibit cron jobs from being run that can cause the automatic sharing to not work.
We are closing this task out due to inactivity. To re-open this ticket just reply to this thread.
This still does not work for me, I have been manually re-sharing now for a while and updating, hoping this fault will be resolved, but still no joy.
Hello again π
We will have another look at this issue and get back to you shortly.
We have some documentation on this issue so you can read over how to make sure your WP_CRON is enabled on your site so that automatic tasks can be completed.
We just updated to version 1.2 which will show you an error message if WP_CRON is disabled, which is the most common case for automatic sharing to not work.
Upgraded, were will it say that WP_CRON is disabled.
