In terms of the timeline for emails on automation being sent, this time-frame is dependent on MailChimp as our plugin only provides the gateway for signups to your MailChimp mailing list.

I just used the link on in my Mailchimp account and got the first email in my automation series 10 minutes after subscribing.
It has been an hour and 20 minutes since I subscribed using your plugin and I still haven’t received the first email.

I’ve signed up on your website Sidebar widget and received your first automation email within 3 mins after confirming to your Email list.
I’m not sure why you are having this issue but I’d recommend try testing your Optin Cat form with using a new email address to signup, then go to your email inbox to confirm your registration and then wait to recieve your automation email from MailChimp.
Please note that our plugin utilizes MailChimp API v2.0 to communicate with MailChimp and after you have recieved confirmation email the automation emails are on your MailChimp list settings which our plugin does not control.
Hope you are able to have this issue sorted out as when we had tested it, all works fine.
