• Our rescue has been having issues receiving multiple forms that go to two different emails (both gmail). For a few months, they have been going to spam, but I can just go in and hit the “not spam” bottom and it goes to the inbox. Occasionally, we may find an app or contract that didn’t get automatically sent to email and we can just resend it (and move from spam when received). A few days ago, we have several apps/contracts in two different forms that aren’t responding to be resent, which affects our response to adopters/applicants. We haven’t changed any other settings, so not sure why this is happening. WordPress is updated to current version.

For some time now, Gmail has been checking much more closely whether incoming emails meet certain spam criteria. One of these is a valid SPF record for the sending domain, another is SMTP-authenticated sending.

When I look at the SPF record for your domain, I currently see two of them. One of them also appears to be more of a test entry.

To ensure that your emails are delivered more securely, I would recommend two measures:

    a) Send emails from WordPress via SMTP. To do this, you need an SMTP plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/tags/smtp/ – in this plugin, you must enter the details of an email account that you want to use for sending. The account should use a domain that has a valid SPF record set up. Once you have set this up, emails should arrive without any problems.

    b) Correct the SPF record for your domain, regardless of point a). If necessary, contact your domain service provider, as this is not a WordPress issue but rather a matter for the hosting technology provided to you.
