    Hi folks. After our business upgraded to Gmail I’ve had trouble with dashboard login. I no longer receive the verification code needed to complete the login process. The email is the same as before, just with different ports and whatnot. I can send and receive normal emails just fine.

    Any solutions?

  • Are you using a plugin to help with sending email via GMail SMTP or otherwise?

    Are you still able to access your WordPress Admin dashboard?

    Please supply as much detail as possible about your setup so we can try to figure it out.

    I forgot that the mail that sends out the verification codes is one of ours, as we host ourselves, so the problem may be that we forgot to update that mail with the correct ports etc. I will try that first.

    We solved it by editing the two-factor plugin on our server to “two-factor_disabled” to disable it while we set up a new one to work with the new emails.
