I have MonstersInsight Lite plugin and trying to configure a multisite. We have the plugin activated on production site (for years and years) pointing to a Google UA Code #1.  We have a need for testing analytics setup on our non-prod site. I recently activated the plugin on our non-prod site pointing manually adding Google UA Code #2, however, it’s not sending data to our Google Analytics property, that I can see via Google’s real-time report .  Any troubleshooting tips?

I know the plugin works on multisite because it’s working for our prod site just fine.

I’ve read this article but prefer to manually connect since this matches the config setup completed on PROD environment https://www.monsterinsights.com/docs/connect-google-analytics/

Note: I read the first post about where to direct Lite questions but https://www.monsterinsights.com/lite-support/ leads back to this page so I posted here.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @ehusky2000,

Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry for the trouble here.

I visited the URL shared and noticed it requires a login. Out of curiosity, are you able to try browsing your website while logged in as anything other than an Administrator or Editor?

By default, if you’re logged into your website as an Administrator or Editor, MonsterInsights will not load your tracking code. This is to avoid skewing your own Analytics while you’re viewing your site.

If the above doesn’t apply, or if you continue to have issues, our team is happy to take a closer look at why tracking isn’t working. Would you be able to reach out to us directly at https://www.monsterinsights.com/get-help/?

    Thanks so much!

    Hi @ehusky2000,

We haven’t heard back from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!

Update: When viewing the site via Chrome Incognito mode data appears on the Google Analytics Real-Time report dashboard as expected.

    Hi @ehusky2000,

Thanks for the update! I’m glad to hear.

Just in case it’s helpful in the future as well, for other ways to verify if tracking is working (aside from using the Realtime report), here’s a guide you can check out: https://www.monsterinsights.com/how-to-check-if-google-analytics-is-working/

If there’s anything else I can help with, please let me know.

    Thanks!
