Under settings -> pages -> search appreance I’ve toggled so it does not show in the index.

I don’t want all the pages to show in the site map and index by default.

However, individual pages I have selected on each page that they should show in the index but they are still not showing in the sitemap.

What does this mean? Are they being indexed but not in the sitemap? What is the ramifiations of this?

Is there a way to show a page in the sitemap if default pages is set to ‘no index’?

    Thanks

    Hello @lucytech,

Thanks for reaching out. It needs to be done the other way around. First, you need to show all pages in the page sitemap. Then, exclude the specific pages you do not want in the sitemap.

If I have 50 pages and I only want to index a few?

I also don’t want to include all pages by default b/c editors publish pages and I need to check them to see if they should be indexed.

What is the best way to set this up?

Sadly, there’s no workaround. The page sitemap needs to be turned ON before excluding items you do not want.
