Not Tracking Conversion

I had my first sale from an affiliate today. It showed the visit, but did not register the conversion or commission.
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hey @gowen887,
Thank you for reaching out! Prior to this sale, did you test that SliceWP is working as expected?
If not, to make sure conversions are working normally, I recommend you to follow the step provided by this guide, here: https://slicewp.com/docs/troubleshooting/
Also, can you please let me know more information about your setup? Also, which eCommerce plugin are you using for your business?
Thank you and best wishes,
Mihai
I have followed all of the trouble shooting. We are using geodirectory and get paid. Would it not register the conversion until after the “refund grace period” maybe?
Second conversion did not track… it is recording the visit just not the conversion and commissions
Hey @gowen887,
The commission should have been created right after the referred user made the payment.
Can you please share with me the debug log information from SliceWP > Settings > Tools (tab)? Also, please provide a few screenshots with how you have SliceWP and GetPaid set up.
I’d like to replicate your setup as closely as possible and test referrals to see why they may be failing.
Also, considering that this is a public forum and that the information I’m asking for can contain private data, please feel free to contact us via our website, here: https://slicewp.com/contact/
Once you reach out via our website, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you and best wishes,
Mihai
I just sent the contact form. It wouldn’t let me upload the debug report as it is an unsupported file type… I included screenshot of error message with contact form
I have a similar problem. I have visited various affiliate links in an incognito window but most of them dont show up as visits. Only a few of them. I went through the trouble shooting page and the debug log is on but there are no error messages. I just made 3 purchases that was registered. Can it be that even though i pasted different links for the same affiliate it only registers the first one I used. All 3 sales were registered under the first affiliate link i pasted in and not the direct aff-links to the products. Those links never showed anywhere.

Hey @thailandferie,
When using a referral link, a cookie is saved in the visitor’s browser and a visit is created in SliceWP. You can view all visits in SliceWP > Visits.
This cookie will de active for an X number of days, based on the “Tracking Cookie Duration” option you have set in SliceWP > Settings > General > General Settings.
While the cookie is active, any sale made by the referred visitor will result in a commission for the referring affiliate.
This cookie can be overwritten by visiting another affiliate’s referral link only if the “Credit First/Last Affiliate” option from SliceWP > Settings > General > Affiliate URL Settings is set to “Last Affiliate”.
If “First Affiliate” is selected, the initial cookie will need to expire first and only then will another one be set for the latest referring affiliate.
I believe that this is the situation you’re in.
Thank you and best wishes,
Mihai
Thanks for your reply. The duration is set for two years but I only have one affiliate so I guess there shouldn’t be anyone else that could overwrite her link.
Hey @thailandferie,
Considering that you have such a big cookie duration, the referral visit might have been active, as the cookie would have been set on your initial visit.
While the cookie is active, subsequent visits by the same user to the same affiliate’s referral link (regardless of the page the user lands) will not be tracked. Only the initial referral visit is taken into account.
Thank you and best wishes,
Mihai
