Please see the plugin requirements and documentation. We no longer support PHP 5.2. This was all clearly marked in the changelog.

    Requirements
WordPress 3.8 or higher (Recommended: WordPress 4.0 or higher)
PHP 5.3 or higher (Recommended: PHP 5.4 or higher)

If it says you’re on 5.2, it means you’re actually on on 5.2. You need to heed the warning the plugin gives you…it is accurate

Many people have thought they were upgraded but in fact their server was still running the old version due to a piece of code hidden in their .htaccess file. The version it’s reporting is being reported straight from your server. That’s not something we could mess up. Feel free to verify by installing Send System Info.

People have come to us before swearing up and down that the plugin got it wrong…after helping them out, it turned out every single time the plugin was right.

It’s not right to submit a negative 1 star review without even submitting a support request.

I will be happy to help you out, if you submit a support request.

Please update your review…this isn’t right.

    Server stats

I check htaccess and my php version, all is fine.
Think, need to downgrade plugin using your github changelog

What are you looking at your server stats from? The people who had this issue had it all look fine in their cpanel. You need to test it through PHP.

Please install another plugin that detects the version, like Send System Info and you will will see what I mean. Just take a few minutes and you will see what I am saying. Or you can use phpinfo().

I’ve doing this almost 20 years…detecting the PHP version is not something we would mess up.

If you would submit a support request, I would be able to help you and show you how you’re actually running 5.2. If you are that’s something serious you need to fix for your site’s security.

If you’re not going to submit a support request, I would ask that you change the rating from 1 star, since you’re not even giving us a chance to help you.

Something is strange there because in the picture you posted it said PHP 5.4. Here is says PHP 5.5. One of the two is incorrect.

This is from the same website, not just the same server?

If you would take a minute to contact us through our support form, we can look into it for you. Otherwise it is near impossible to diagnose the issue going back and forth on here like this.

But in any way, version is bigger than 5.2

    (@redsand)

    No, not necessarily true.

Something odd is going on there. PHP doesn’t make mistakes like that. It’s not like we cooked up some home-brewed method for detecting…the plugin uses phpversion()http://php.net/phpversion – to get the version of PHP running on the site. Send System Info uses the PHP constant PHP_VERSION to detect. They get the same results.

You didn’t answer my question though…were those from the same website…not just the same server?
