Meow Gallery is based on the native gallery, so switching from one to the other should be straightforward. If you are using the gallery shortcode to create your galleries, it should happen automatically. Could you please share more details about your configuration? Thanks! 😊
I use Generatepress theme, I use native gallery wordpress, wp php 8 last version
I have jetpack, but disable the carousel.
I have Wp optimized with cache enabled
I just maked one new post, add one new gallery, press the preview, and the gallery appear without modification. I don’t published the post, just the preview for test..
I modify the image size, etc but nothing
I will try again with one block of the plugin or publish the post.
I also tested with old posts with galleries, and nothing, I create one new post because I think was the cache who give me the problem

If I can use Jetpack Carousel great
Maybe you can make one lite version plugin for just modify the size of the images preview gallery on the fly, maybe one option in media section for make gallery more responsive.
