Probably it is the widget you are trying to use that does not work on 4.3

I had to alter my shortcode a bit. Instead of:
[do widget xyz]
(which worked perfectly before 4.3)
I used the debug information and wrote:
[do widget id=debugwidgetnamehere]

Hi guys, I’m intrigued that 2 of you seemed to experience problems with simple
[do_widget name] and am wondering what widgets you were running and/or whether those widgets changed recently?
I have several sites running 4.3 and the straightforward name option is working fine on 4.3
EG: http://test.icalevents.com/other-testing/do_widget-shortcode-demo/
has [do_widget rss]
and [do_widget “Taxonomy Drill-down”]

sorry for the late answer. I have the free version of “The event calendar” from Modern Tribe (https://theeventscalendar.com/).
Maybe the update toady already adressed this “problem”.
Nevertheless: Keep up the good work and thanks for the plugin! 😉
