not working?

    This would be perfect – except I can’t seem to get it to work. WordPress tells me there are updates available, and I can install them by clicking the various buttons, but I thought that this plugin was supposed to have already installed them for me? I don’t get any email notification that it has tried to update either.
    I do have a number of security features in place, eg Wordfence and Better WP Security but they don’t stop the updates from happening if I click the buttons. I have also renamed the wp-content folder, so maybe the plugin can’t find that?
    So, what am I doing wrong here? How do I diagnose this?

    This is a bit tricky to diagnose without having a reliable way to reproduce it.

    To start with, could you try disabling all your plugins except Automatic Updater, and seeing if it’s able to install updates then?
