Hi, my site has a lot of images and is a memberships site where members can upload images. When I turn tinypng on it not only slows it down to the point of frsutration it sometimes wont upload images at all. I have lost a couple of clients over this. I have tried bulk optimisation but it takes ages. Last night i left it over night and made 1% progress. It tends to compress a few images and the rest are labelled as waiting and just stay waiting. At the moment I sadly cant use your plugin and would like to because economically it suits my requirements than others ive found but if I cant fix this I am going to have to consider an alternative. Are you able to help ?

    Hi ahamaton,

thanks for contacting us. Slow upload speeds are usually due to one of these reasons:
    1/ Uploading large images
    2/ Slow internet connection
3/ Servers being under heavy load.

If 1 & 2 are not the case then it’s most likely due to our servers being under heavy load. During daytime on weekdays it can sometimes be a bit busier and therefore perhaps a little slower.

We have released a new version of the plugin last week (v2.2.2) which should improve robustness/upload stability. Could you please upgrade and see if that resolves your issue?

All that said, we are actually planning on upgrading our servers as soon as possible which should help with slow uploading issues. We will definitely let you know as soon as that is the case!

Thanks for getting back to me, I will try that this weekend. First of all do you also think that will fix the http errors that often happen ? and what about bulk optimisation, do you think it should fix that as well ?

    Thanks

Yes v2.2.2 of the plugin should also fix the http errors and the errors in the bulk optimization page. If you are still having issues please send us an email to [email protected] and a developer will assist you further.

    Happy compressing!
