Not working correctly had to disable

when i post to reddit it takes a tiny thumbnail and the post title and shares to reddit. But on reddit the image doesnt show and i want it much bigger than a thumnail. I also dont want to use the default title i want something specific to my mrmbers.
another problem is it removes the native comments which is fine if you don’t have any comments. I want the native comments then reddit comment below or above it doesnt matter
I made some test comments after posting and these comments didnt appear on my wordpress

Here is what im saying about the link is missing when you click the image
Image 1 shows the post in the reddit sub via the app
Image 2 shows what happens whe you click the titlem you get the snippet and the link and if you then scroll down you see the comments
Image 3 shows what you see when you click the image, you lose the title, keep the snippet and lose the link but when you scroll you see the comments.
What im getting at is if you never click teh title you never see the link but you still see all the comments, so you could read a whole thread and never even realise there is an article cause the link is only shown when you click the title.
All of this is per the reddit android app.
Just updated the plugin and now the comments just say loading so went to the settings page to try to reset with reddit but the settings page is not loading its just a blank screen so can’t disconnect and reconnect?
I have cleared my site cache to see if that was an issue but its not changed anything.
Also tried deactivating and re activating but thesettings page is still not loading nor are existing comments.

I have the theme and I have a “Radle above WordPress” working. Its a patch. X theme does not have thecomments_template_tophook which is needed. I have it using an earlier hook if this one does not exist, but IMO, it does not look as good as when it appears below.
1.2.4 should fix the broken settings page. Then resave the settings in the Comment Management section and that should fix any issues with the comments not loading.
Regarding Reddit App bevavior:What we see when we click on the title:
What we see when we click on the image. I had to click on “Show more” to reveal the link, which I believe is the issue you are having.
What happens if you post with the template like this, putting the link above the exceprt? That might help.

I tried the suggestion to move the permalink up above the excerpt and it moves it when you click the title but if you click the image the title goes and the excerpt appears but still no link even though the link is moved in the posting settings.
Links and images added to reddit appear as html code on wordpress
The share and hide buttons on comments have no functionality and the upvote and downvote buttons just link back to reddit and have no fuctionality, along with reply thats 3 links back to reddit.

I just tested the hide functionality and it does hide the comments for non-logged in users if the admin clicks the hide button.
The reply button has to send the user to reddit under the current model since all discussion has to occur on the Reddit platform.
Fix is on the way with the share button not working. It should copy the assembled reddit comment link to the clipboard.when you click the image it opens up on reddit. Why does it need to open up? Is that a reddit feature or something you can control?
Its not something I can control unfortunately. The alternative is to post the URL as a link and have reddit auto-embed the image— but as you noticed, the image becomes a small thumbnail.
Its opening up because we are uploading the image to the post as an image, essentially creating a gallery like experience. It makes the share look better, but it also makes the image an attachment rather than a link to the article.

In the latest release, Radle above WordPress placement should work with X theme. But it’s not pretty. If you want the comments above, I’d recommend adding the shortcode to your theme template manually. Here’s a screenshot of X theme with the Radle comments above the WordPress core comments:

but not all the comments are showing, i understand that nested comments after a reply don’t show, i dont think enough levels are showing but i also have comments that are not nested that are also not showing.
“Max Sibling Comments” currently limits the # of consecuative comments to 5, no matter what number of levels are set to reveal. Greater control here is a pro feature.

Ty. Yes I don’t think there’s anything I can do about this at the moment. On web browser, if you click the image, only the image shows. On iOS, the image shows, with the description below it and we have to click “Show more” to reveal the link.
A solve would be to make sure the first comment of the Image style post is also a link to the comment. You can do this is you moderate all your automated posts, and manually add the first comment before approving them.So the plugin shows a max of 5 comments? Have i got that correct? Does’nt seem like enough when comments can easily get into the 100s.
Yes, each level will limit to 5 only side by side. The pro version allows for much larger number of siblings. Pro currently goes up to 30 siblings. I’ve not run into a case yet where a user desires more. When working with the API, there will be limits to what we can pull from the Reddit server. I’d have to look into it when the time/user-need came.
