Which WordPress 3.9 was change the TinyMCE completely. Currently I found not enough time for a fix to this topic. Maybe I will create in the next weeks a new version, that works in 3.9.
If a users can help me and will help much more on this or other plugins from my side – welcome. AddQuicktag is on Github, easy to fork and create a fix or enhancement. Thanks.
