Anyone? I downloaded the previous Kimili version as suggested by the developer and still get the same error as above. I even donated.

I had a site that was calling the shortcode in header.php and after the WP update I saw the same error as pwit up above. I reverted to the previous version of the Kimli Flash Player plugin, available here, by recommendation of the plugin author from another post. I’m referring to his last reply in the thread.
Then, if you have automatic updates on your site, you’ll have to edit the kml_flashembed.php file so that it says Version: 2.5.1 to prevent auto-updating and breaking the site again.
Hopefully this helps some people.

Thanks Podoglyph, I tried your suggested solution but it didn’t work for me. It gets rid of the code in the post but it still shows the “Get Adobe Flash Player” image rather than the actual SWF.
I’m having the same problem since 4.3 upgrade. It just shows the embeded code. I’m going to try downgrading WP to see if it solves the problem.
I have the same problem after the upgrade of WordPress 4.3. I tried podoglyph’s suggestion but to no avail. I’ve reverted the whole site to it’s former backup.

Having the same problem, and my site just displays the animated .gif fallback image instead. Tried Podoglyph’s suggestion, but it didn’t work. My contract developer suggested that WP 4.3 might have broken the shortcode for this plugin.

This issue has been fixed for me since I updated the Kimili Flash Embed plugin to version 2.5.3 and WordPress to version 4.3.1.
How are you all doing with this plugin and WP 4.4? Here’s the error I’m getting:

I’m having problems since 4.4 also – no display at all – no error message, not even the alternate content – nothing. Is there an update in the works for WP 4.4.2 ??

ATTENTION: I don’t know coding, but I try anyway. So if you can help me, please do not use coding jargon. I will have no idea what you’re talking about. However, this is the only place I can ask.
