What is not working?
The FAQs are not collapsed, they appear as a straight page. Like this:
http://i59.tinypic.com/2hzszk.png
It was working normal just before updating to 4.0.
I’m getting the same result, but I’m just starting to build a new site in 4.0. The FAQs aren’t collapsed.
In my case, honestly, I must said that it seems that the problem is not due to the plugin but it looks like that the plugin, since I’m installed WP 4.0, has some conflict with “page builder” (another plugin)
Do all of you have Page Builder installed?
I do have Page Builder. But, for the record, both worked fine in 3.9.2.
But, for the record, both worked fine in 3.9.2.
Page Builder most likely updated for capability with 4.0 but WP Awesome FAQ Plugin hasn’t.
If you deactivate Page Builder does it work?
ignore mine, it was my theme. your plugin works in twentyfourteen
What theme were you using?
I have the same problems and do not use page builder…
now with updated to WP 4.0 images below shortcode are not appearing. the edit page disappears from top admin bar when logged in and viewing FAQ page. Q&A are not expanding… its sending to new page for each question now.
Love the problem. Hope you can fix.
Running Genesis Lifestyle Theme by Studiopress.
The plugin author will need to update his plugin to make it capable with Page Builder and WordPress 4.0.
For now, you can either wait for the plugin author to respond and fix the issue, try to contact the plugin author personally (email, website, social media), or find a new plugin that works with Page Builder.
Figured out the problem.
1.) Go to your page named “FAQ”
2.) Click edit next to Permalink
3.) Change permalink from Permalink: http://yourwesbite.com/faq/
to http://yourwesbite.com/faqs/For some reason, if your pages permalink is “faq”, it breaks the accordion and WordPress displays your FAQs as blog posts.
vinita-vinny’s method confirmed to work here. You’re amazing, man. Thanks!
