I also encountered the exact same scenario here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/question-about-custom-endpoints/

Nothing was being cached (even the wp/v2 endpoint), and then I also needed to replace the filter_input functions with the direct $_SERVER properties to fix the caching.

I think this should be addressed 🙂

Yup, it was just a friendly heads up that maybe this isn’t such an edge case since my entire site setup is quite typical with all my host settings as the defaults.
