Hi @katanel,
That sounds like a plugin conflict. Do you have an autocomplete plugin by any chance? Does it work when that plugin is turned off?
If not, could you perform a plugin/theme conflict check? If you don’t know how you can perform one, please refer to https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Hi,
1. My edit area of each page/article inside /wp-admin is completely white/blank once I activate SEO yoast plugin
2. Also 1st tab of SEO plugin (at the bottom of each article or page) is not usable – could not be clicked due to same Javascript error
Here is how it looks in fact: https://www.dropbox.com/s/n3cw2g1mb57q2j6/Screenshot%202017-01-10%2012.19.40.png?dl=0
3. I’ve tested with most of my plugins deactivated (except LiteSpeed cache and Akismet) and same issue occurs
4.I have no autocomplete plugin but in Yoast SEO plugin 3.x version it was an autocomplete function for Google search keywords – like you type ‘wedding photo’ and it gives you ‘wedding photos’ or ‘wedding photography’ suggestions right? Isn’t this the broken functionality?
Any advice is appreciated as this plugin has help me till version 4.x
Should I do a full reset of the settings or reinstall (delete and copy) again the plugin? What about the values saved within 3.x version? Are stored in DB and will remain?

Hi,
Error seems to be related to tinymce.min.js file and I found this
https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/3318
and also any errors reported to development team like this:
https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/5742
Regards
Hi @katanel,
When you delete the plugin, you can expect all your SEO data to be saved in the database, but reinstalling won’t help if it’s a plugin/theme conflict.
The issues posted don’t seem related (different javascript errors).
Could you try switching your theme? If your text area goes blank, it might be related to your theme. We are unable to read anything from the text field if it’s blank. Does the error still occur with a default theme like Twenty Sixteen?
Hi,
I’m using the same theme for 2 years (same version, no update) so I doubt it has to do with that. At certain point (WP update to 4.7 and Yoast update but don’t remember version) I started to have this issue.
I will make a test with a Twenty Sixteen but it will not be relevant as nobody uses this theme (or very few).
Regards

Hi,
My apologies: after discussing with theme author, he has mentioned that there is a new version which probably will fix this problem.
Keep you updated on this and sorry for the poor rating – I don’t know how to Undo the rating π
Regards
Hi @katanel,
No worries, we’re glad we were able to find the problem π if I’m not mistaken, you can leave a ‘new’ review at the bottom here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/wordpress-seo/reviews/
It should update your current review.
Thanks and have a great day!
