Nothings working
-
Although I have a membership to my own membership section, it doesn’t always let me view my own content. The Members Login menu button doesn’t take you to the login page. The Profile menu doesn’t take you to the profile section. The Blog menu button doesn’t take you to the Blog page. In short, none of the menu items work
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Please check to make sure you have the correct URL for the default pages created by our plugin. The following documentation can help.
https://simple-membership-plugin.com/recreating-required-pages-simple-membership-plugin/
Then check the registration process by reading the following documentation. This should give you an idea on how our plugin works.

Let me know if the information above helps you.
Kind regards.
Hi, the setting matches the link you shared. They correctly go to the right place if I preview them from my dashboard. They just don’t work when you try to visit the pages via the menu. There’s also no way to actually log in

Can you check to make sure those pages exist in your WordPress admin panel? They might be deleted or corrupted. Also if they do exist can you check to make sure the URL for each page corresponds with the URL address entered in each field as per the instructions I shared above.
Kind regards.
Hi, all the pages exist and they do have the correct URLs. Not of the links in those pages that say click here to log in allow you to log in, it just takes you to the Join Us page
I just completed a test in my dev site and I can confirm that the function works as expected. Can you check to make sure each page that exist in your site has the corresponding shortcode as per the instructions above.
If the above is correct then I suspect something in your site is interfering with our plugin. Can you carry out the following troubleshooting steps.
Let me know how you go.
Thank you.
Hi, every page exists with its correct shortcode. I tried setting up a staging site, deactivated all the plugins and changed the theme, but it either took me to a 404 on my staging site or took me back to my normal site rather than staying within the staging site. Added two more screenshots

What is your permalink settings in your site? Also, when I visit your site and click on the yellow menu “Pages”, none of the membership links work. Why is that?
Regards.
I know none of the menu links work, that’s what I’ve been telling you. I’m using the same permalink settings I use on my main domain and other subdomain. I’ve added an extra screenshot to my Google Drive for you to see those settings
Hi, The server configuration looks to be messed up. We won’t be able to do anything from our end for this type of server side issue.
Your hosting provider might be able to provide help with this. Ask them the following question:
Tell them that you have a page that exists (in the pages menu of WordPress) but from the front-end when trying to access it via the URL, it is giving a 404 error.
They will be able to check the server configuration to see why that page is giving a 404 error.
Our plugin cannot function if the server is not loading the login and registration pages correctly.
Alternatively, you can delete our plugin and try an alternative plugin since our plugin is not working with your server environment.
hi, it only goes to 404 in the staging version. On my regular site you don’t get a 404.
Everything associated with your plugin just doesn’t work. Even when I go to the login page by previewing the login page via the dashboard, clicking log in just takes you to the join us page
What do you think is wrong with the server settings that’s only affecting your plugin?
All roads lead to the Join Us page when using the menu options specific to your plugin, and not a 404. The 404 only happened in the staging version of my site
my host wants to know what specifically you think is wrong with the server settings and thus causing problems with your plugin
As per the developer’s suggestion above.
Tell them that you have a page that exists (in the pages menu of WordPress) but from the front-end when trying to access it via the URL, it is giving a 404 error.
Hopefully your host can find out why this is happening. This also could be related to some configuration in your site.
Unfortunately we can’t reproduce this issue ourselves.
Kind regards.
hi, I’ve already told them that much. But you said their server configuration looked messed up, so they want to know what specifically you saw when you said their server configuration looks messed up. If you can provide me that information, I can pass it on to my host and they’ll hopefully clear up the server configuration issues you saw
My apologies for the late reply. Unfortunately we cannot reproduce this issue in our testing environments. Something in your settings whether it be your site or server is causing this problem.
Kind regards.
