    1. I can confirm that I followed the ‘best support’ steps to the letter.
    2. Single site WordPress
    3. Trying to get New ‘Classified’ Published to work for WP Adverts
    4. Choosing New ‘Classified’ Published in ‘Notification for’ drop down options then choosing ‘Administrator’ in the ‘Send To’ box and have tried different shortcodes, the last being the Global Site Shortcodes:
    Site Title: [global_site_title]
    Site Tagline: [global_site_tagline]
    Site URL: [global_site_url]
    5. What is happening is that the ‘Send Me A Test Email’ button works fine and I receive the test email but I don’t receive notification of a new advert posted through WP Advert. The WP Advert form works fine and I receive an email from that (as if I were a customer adding a new advert) but I also want the administrator to get notification of a new advert when posted and that is the part that I can’t get to work. Emails show up in the log but only being sent to the customer and not the administrator.

    How are adverts being posted? If from the front-end via a form, have you tried the following filter to add support for front-end forms? https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/compatibility/support-plugins-front-end-forms/

    Hi Jack,

    I have tried your suggestion (I tried both plugins and themes filters) but cannot get admin to receive a notification unless it is done through the backend. Front-end is not working.

    Any more advice please?

    Hi @boasey,
    Just a quick update for you.

    The plugin is using a slightly non-standard way to insert the post which is why it’s not triggering the notification. Adding the filter will not work in this scenario.

    I’m going to investigate how viable / easy it is to add support for it but it may not be possible.

    I’ll let you know when i’ve reached a conclusion however.

    Hi @boasey,
    There’s no way of triggering a notification programatically, if that’s what you’re asking.

    Bare with me, i’ll see if it’s possible to trigger it via the regular filter.

    Just so you know, i’m in contact with the author of the WP Adverts plugins and we’re hoping to work together and resolve the issue. It appears that it only requires changes to the WP Advert plugin though.

    Keep an eye out for an update soon, providing everything goes well.

    The issue was with WP Advert and so the author was going to release an update that addresses the problem.

    If you’re still having issues, you may need to get in touch with them.
