Notification with Topic for Posts plug-in ?

    Hello,

    Thanks for this great plug-in ! However, when I create a new topic with the wordpress admin panel (and not in a bbpress forum) the plug-in doesn’t work, I don’t receive e-mails…

    Moreover (and that’s what I really like want to do) when I create a new topic via the Topic for Posts plug-in, it doesn’t work too 🙁 This plug-in link a WP post to a bbpress topic and replace the WP comment system by the topic linked.

    After investigating, it seems the ‘bbp_new_topic’ tag in the add_action works only when creating a new topic in the bbpress forum, not via the admin panel or the Topic for Post plug-in.

    Is there a way to make the plug-in works with the topic creation by the “Topic for Post plugin” ? I tried to find a solution, but without succes… 🙁

    I’ll have to take a look at ‘Topic for Posts’. It may be a while though, as I have several other things on my plate right now.

    I’m currently swamped with other projects. Feel free to write the code you need and send it to me and I’ll gladly add it to the plugin. Right now, this is at the very bottom of my priorities list.

    Please upgrade to version 1.4 to receive notifications when creating topics/replies via the Admin interface.

    I haven’t checked the ‘Topic for posts plugin’ yet. If this is still an issue after upgrading to 1.4, please create a new support topic just for that one.

    Hello ! Sorry for this (very) late answer…

    First, thank you for not having forgotten my problem and for the support of this plug-in !

    Next, I’m still using this plug-in in v1.3, and I found how to make it works with the “Topic for Posts” plug-in by editing the main PHP file of your plug-in.

    In short, the Topic for Posts plug-in has a do_action “bbppt_topic_created” hook (after topic creation) that I used by the same way that the topics created by bbPress in your plug-in !

    I can give you the modifications I made in the v1.3 if you want to include them in a further version :

    It works fine in my website, I hope I didn’t make mistakes. I’ll wait some days if you can include my modifications in a further version, otherwise I’ll edit the v1.4 file again to include my modifications ^^
