There are many reasons why email may not work, including other plugins, server software, anti-spam settings in email clients, and on and on. I recommend troubleshooting these items, and also try using an alternate email address, ideally one that isn’t provided by a free 3rd-party service (they are notorious for blocking legit email). That will tell you if it’s an issue with Gmail, hotmail, or whatever other service you are using.
Thanks for the quick reply Jeff, but I’ve disabled all other plugins and nothing changed. The Frontend Uploader plugin sends notifications by email, but downloading files is available only under the heading” personal” and not set otherwise(perhaps the plugin is outdated),so I am unable to use it.But your plugin is good ,and perhaps you can tell me ,what else can interfere with receiving notifications by email?Sorry for clumsy English-I use online translator.
Troubleshooting email functionality can get pretty tedious, but here are some things to take a look at:
– site settings
– server settings (DNS, MX records, etc.)
– hosting rules/policies
– network traffic
– firewalls
– spam blockers
– etc.
..and even if all those things are good, there could be conflicts with:
– plugins
– themes
– custom scripts
– server software
– typos
– etc..
So there are many things that could be interfering with emails.
That said, normally the plugin works great, so if your email is not being received, I would begin investigating these issues until the culprit is discovered.
Hi flintax, I hope you got this sorted out. I’m gonna go ahead and mark this topic as resolved to help keep things organized. Feel free to follow-up or post afresh with any new issues or questions, I’m glad to help however possible. Thank you.
