Notifications fail to clear

    Hello,

    We’re experiencing the issue where BuddyPress notifications will not clear. X-ing out clears them temporarily, but when the page is refreshed, the notifications return. This is only in the user bar. If going through to unread notifications via the user menu and deleting them there, it appears to take effect permanently.

    I saw this was reported fixed in a recent version, but we are running 3.5.2 and the issue persists.
