i get a notifications on my desktop computer with sound for every file backed to dropbox with wpb2d.

since i have many 1000′ of files it’s obviously impossible…

how can i stop the notifications on the the desktop? both visual and audio?

This sounds like you are seeing Windows generated notifications for your Dropbox application. Pretty sure I was getting this when I first upgraded to Windows 10.

Try the instructions in this link (not sure if this turns off sound as well).
