Notifications only working when using shortcode

Hi,

On pages where we use the shortcode to display the FB comments, the comments do appear in the FB moderation tool and the moderation tool link appears at the top of the comment box (albeit we do not receive email notifications). But on the blog posts where we rely on the plugin to automatically insert the FB comments, none of the comments end up appearing in the moderation tool.

I have tried disabling any plugin that has social components and went through the single.php file to remove any code generated by other plugins that could cause conflicts but still the comments won’t show up in the moderation tool.

Are you aware of any issue that could explain how/why the comments work well with the shortcode but not otherwise?

Replace with this shortcode:

[fbcomments width="100%" count="off" num="100"]

Hi,

I have a similar problem except I don’t have the comments in the moderation tool at all!?
I tried with the shortcode you mentionned AND without.. same thing.

I even tried to add this :
<meta property=”fb:app_id” content=”XXXXXXXXXXX”/> (I obviously replaced the XXXXXXXXX with my app ID)

in the head section but still no luck.. :-/

Thank you for the reply.

Unfortunately, removing the url from the shortcode has not solved the problem. Only the comments left on pages that uses the shortcode appear in the moderation tool and the others not.

thanks for the quick reply… there must be something I don’t get …

I tried again using this shortcode instead :

[fbcomments url=”http://alexconsultant.com/lurgence-davoir-un-site-adaptatif-responsive/” width=”100%” count=”off” num=”100″]

I added a comment myself and… still can’t and/or see any in the moderator tool.

well, it wasn’t when I posted the message but it is now…!

curiously, I now see the moderation tool/link on the last article I posted here but not on the 2 first articles I posted weeks ago!?

it works here:
