Numbering my Comments

I use the patchwork theme (http://ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/patchwork). I am currently using wordpress version 3.8

Can someone tell me how I can display a number beside the comments that people make on my posts. Any and all help would be most appreciated. Thanks.
