We have a FAQ that addresses this here: https://matomo.org/faq/troubleshooting/faq_50/, though twice the number of visits is rather large difference. Are your Google Analytics reports sampled? Do the websites you use Matomo on make use of speculation rules?
No, no rules or filters. The Bürst plugin shows numbers almost exactly matching GA.
Can you share a link to one of your websites so I can take a look at your tracking code?
@dandavince In case it helps, I’ve only seen this issue once before with a user that was using a plugin (a consent manager) with built in Matomo tracking support, along with Matomo for WordPress. This resulted in two instances of tracking code being used on the website, and thus 2x the statistics.
