0-9 is an option under the settings page, you need to turn the numbers toggle ON and you will see the very first button for the numbers.

Yes, it is possible with the customization but not available as a feature in this version for now. You have to customize it for your usage.

Adding numbers separately like 0, 1, 2 … 9 would be a new feature for sure but “#” hashtag is there to represent all the numeric values as starting character of the word, that would not work for you? You just need to enable that from the settings page.
