Numerical Tags Auto Loading

    Hi,

    I have been showing wordpress auto loading three digit numerical tags into my site. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? It has been happening repeatedly.

    Auto loading as in these tags appear in the tags list table on their own with no one adding them? Are there posts that have these tags assigned? Anything unusual about the posts? What do they have in common?

    If no posts have the tags assigned, when a new one appears, check recent access logs for POST requests related to tags, like POSTing to edit-tags.php or the wp/v2/tags API endpoint. Note the logged referrer page and perhaps the IP address. Maybe those clues can help you develop a theory explaining the cause.
