    Hi,

I am trying to set up Google / Gmail mailer for WP Mail SMTP. I followed the documentation and was able to get through the guide until I reach the step in which you have to authorize and allow the plugin to send emails using my Gmail account. When I click this button the login screen for Google will appear. This however does not have an ‘allow’ button and instead has a ‘continue’ button. When I click this the ‘Google hasn’t verified this app’ warning appears and I am able to click advanced. It looks as if this ‘Go to wpmailsmtp.com (unsafe)’ link is not working as it will bring me back to my wordpress site but to a page that cannot be found. It looks as if I need the redirect url to be changed from wp-admin/options-general.php to wp-admin/admin.php for this to work but I cannot find how to do this.

Has anybody come across this that you could suggest a fix?

    Thanks!

    Hi @aoibh,

For the Gmail mailer, you need to add this redirect URI (https://connect.wpmailsmtp.com/google/) under the “Authorized redirect URIs” section within your Google App.

If you cannot create the Gmail mailer connection, it could be that your server’s Firewall rules or ModSecurity rules are blocking your Google API requests.

Please get in touch with your hosting support, and they should be able to assist you further.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!
