Object Cache – Global Groups Explanation for WPMU
-
Hi there, my apologies for the question if this was already answered.
I am looking for more information to explain each Global Group in Object Cache. I’m having an issue with my WP Multisite Network. I have 2 sites on the Network: 1 main site and 1 sub site (subdomain). When a user is registered with both sites they are able to log in without any problem to both sites. My issue arises when a user resets/changes their password on the main site and then tries to log into the sub site with the new password, they will be rejected. The sub site tells them the new password is incorrect. They are able to log into the main site with the new password without any problem but they can not log into the sub site with the new password until I manually purge all W3TC cache. I enabled/disabled each cache setting and I found that if I disable Object Caching this fixes this problem. Once I disable Object caching, users can log into the sub site after a password change on the main site without me manually purging the cache. However, I’m wondering if instead of disabling Object Caching completely, could I simply exclude one of the Global Groups or add a group to the Non-persistent groups list?
Thank you for your help.
