I am also having issues with the scroll to top arrow not displaying correctly. The social icons also not displaying correctly in top-bar and sidebar/footer widgets as they are now big squares that won’t resize and the cart icon is missing from the header.

Hello @forumquestion and @hels04,
This has happened because you didn’t have any specific icons stored in the Customizer settings before, so it automatically set the new icon pack as default.
@forumquestion, since you already loaded a backup, go to Customize > General Options > Theme Icons, choose either between Font Awesome or Simple Line Icons and publish changes. Just pick one setting or the other, you can even choose the old settings back, until the publish button is “triggered”. After that, you can update to the latest version without any problems.
@hels04, navigate to Customize > General Options > Theme Icons and pick any option per your need, then publish changes. After that, reload the Customizer, choose the Scroll to Top button and Menu Cart icon, publish changes again and it’ll be fine.

Thanks for your reply! The simple line icons restored my header to how it was before, but the scroll to top button and menu cart icon did not reappear after following the steps in the customizer. I cannot see any updates for OceanWP and still have not been able to remove the white space under the footer either.
Hello @forumquestion,
This means that the theme has already been updated. Start the Customizer again and just reselect the Scroll to Top icon via General Options > Scroll to Top, and the menu icon via WooCommerce > Menu Cart, publish changes and that’s it
Both icons fixed. Thank you, but as mentioned the update also added white space under the footer, how do I remove it?
My issues are now resolved, thank you.
Hello @forumquestion,
This is usually caused by caching, so here’s what you’re going to do:
1. WP Dashboard, Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles, hit the Save Changes button a couple of times without making any changes to refresh scripts.
2. Clear website/browser/cloud caching. Some caching plugins are really persistent, so you’ll need to purge several times in some cases.
2.1 You can also disable the SVG icons via Customize > General Options > Theme Icons by checking the option below the dropdown menu, if you don’t plan using SVG icons at all (this will fix the issue immediately, until the caching is also resolved on the server end following assigned caching rules)
Hello @hels04,
Really glad to hear that! And thanks for taking the time to provide feedback
The site said that saving changes on the scripts and styles page caused a critical error, but everything seems to be ok. All of the problems are resolved now! Thank you so much
