Hi,
Have you tried viewing this in a different theme? It could be your theme has some function to affect YouTube links and this is interfering. So try previewing using a default theme such as TwentyTen (under Appearance > Themes, click Live Preview and find a page with an example on).
Joel
Yes, already tried that too.
So it doesn’t work on a default theme with no plugins active and as plain text?
Have you tried the URL link in the browser address bar rather than the Share link, or vice versa?
Yes i tried everything, even replacing the old database and files when oembeded worked. But i think it’s because some script in wordpress, some script is making the mess. Vimeo is working but Youtube isnt. This is so important to me, if somebody has sloved this problem please help me.
Please post a link to your site (make its accessible) with ALL plugins deactivated and an unmodified default theme active.
There you go. Link: http://bambo.con.mk
Try switching to an unmodified twentythirteen theme and test it there.
How are you adding the link?
I tried your YouTube link – created a new post, in the text editor, just pasted the link. Worked fine.
Hmm, me too, the video works fine on my test site. You say you’ve replaced all the WordPress files?
Still isn’t working. I created new post and this is what im getting allways: http://bambo.con.mk/testing/
You didn’t say if you’ve replaced all the WordPress files?
Have you removed all other themes and plugins and have a clean fresh install of WordPress?
I dont want to loose everything, as i said oembeded worked with that database and files.
You won’t lose anything replacing the core WordPress files IF you don’t upload wp-content.
Replace the root files (make sure you don’t over-write wp-config.php) and the wp-admin and wp-includes folders. But don’t touch the /wp-content folder or wp-config.php.
This just makes sure you have all the latest files.
If you’re worried, take a backup first.
Something is interfering as a clean install without custom themes and plugins it works perfectly, so we need to find the cause. The only way is to remove things and see if it works and then add them back one by one until it no longer works.
Replaced wp-includes and wp-admin and still doesen’t work. Can it be some file in wp-content?
Yes it could be, that’s why I wanted a clean install of WordPress.
Can you remove all themes and plugins without losing anything? Or take backups or wp-contnt and then delete the themes and plugins so you’re left with a clean WordPress install with a single default WordPress theme and no other themes or plugins.
I installed wordpress from beggining, with new database and everything. And it is the same, take a look: http://bambo.con.mk/?p=4.
Also created new webpage at 000webhost, and oembed it’s working fine:
