• I’ve confirmed with my host that the correct ports are open. I’ve triple checked my SMTP settings with Office365, but the test message always times out.

    If I switch my email credentials to Google Apps or another email provider the test emails are immediately sent successfully.

    This tells me that the Office365 settings are wrong or they have a server setting blocking our connection, but (Microsoft support being what it is) they’re convinced it is a problem with WordPress.

    Has anyone successfully used Office365 with WP Mail SMTP?

    Any recommendations on what could be causing the 504 Gateway Timeout?
