I can’t get FB to show the thumb nails from my site any time I add the link from my home page.
The links work from my other pages, but not my front page.
I have searched the internet and tried lots of different things to no avail. Is anyone able to help?
Thanks,
Carrie

@mycircleuk, Open graph image tags are automatically generated from images on your page if they are not specified on the Yoast SEO social settings or as a Featured image. Can you confirm it? If there are any other social media plugin active, make sure Open Graph option is disabled since OG tags are already output by the Yoast SEO plugin.
Hi,
Yoast is not taking any of the images from the front page and I have also set an image for it to use as well, but it’s still not picking it up.
I’ve deleted and reinstalled Yoast a couple of times too.
I’ve looked at my Access Press Twitter plug in and there doesn’t seem to be anywhere to change the meta data graph info and same with Istalink.
I’m not a coder, so don’t know anything about going into the CSS to look at all of this.
Thanks,
Carrie
Would you please try the debugging steps to cross check with your current setup and image chosen for sharing?

Hope this helps!
Thanks – I can’t seem to logon via this link – is this a specific Yoast login I should have?
Not really but it seems a temporary issue. Please try to access the link again.
Ah no – sadly still the same!
Trying to attach a screen shot but can’t attach
But others seem to be able to get the link to work but not me!
I’ll post the content here since you are not able to pull up the link:
Here are the suggested troubleshooting guides:
A. Make sure you have enabled Open Graph tags
https://kb.yoast.com/kb/getting-open-graph-for-your-articles/B. Does the Facebook debug tool provide an error about your image?
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/C. Does the image meet Open Graph image recommendations? Is the image too small? Too large? In portrait orientation?
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/best-practices#imagesD. Manually set an Open Graph image ( this image is properly formatted) under the Social tab of the Yoast SEO for the individual page/post/article and force update Facebook’s cache of the page.
https://kb.yoast.com/kb/facebook-sharing-updated-details/Thanks for all of this – but I have done every single one of these things and it still isn’t working.
And yes, the debugger tool comes up with a message everytime and the preview of the link never has the photo.
is there anywhere else I can go to get help on this or is there someone that could take a look at it for me?
I’m new to wordpress so maybe missing something obvious.
We can see here that Facebook receives the og:image tag but is not displaying the image. As much as we’d love to help, we can only output the correct tag. It’s up to Facebook to show the image.
If you have tried different images and none are showing up, it’s most likely that either your server blocks Facebook or vice versa. Please contact your webhost to verify that Facebook can access your server and, if they can, reach out to Facebook’s support to find out why they are not showing the image.
Hi,
Facebook can access the site, as the images show up on all of the other pages – it is just the front page that there is an issue with.
So, it is not from the server end.
Will see if I can speak to FB.
