This is driving me bonkers. I’ve had my blog at wordpress.com for quite a while. Tonight I bought hosting space with GoDaddy and installed the ww.wp.xz.cn plug-in through their site. Whenever I try and visit http://mydomain.com/wp-admin it just keeps redirecting me to my OLD wordpress.com admin, not my new ww.wp.xz.cn admin. A step by step on how to fix this would be amazing. Thank you so much.

If you go to your website you should have admin links in the (meta) sidebar. I have been using this to log into my dashboard. Quick and easy.

If I go to which website? I can’t seem to get to any of my ww.wp.xz.cn panels even though they are installed on my GoDaddy account correctly…it keeps redirecting to my old wordpress.com admin panel

Visit your domain registrar and set the name servers for your domain to point to godaddy’s name servers. Once that’s done you may have to wait 2-48 hours for the changes to take effect.

If you continue this thread, please provide a URL to your domain.

Ok cool, I have my Nameservers at GoDaddy pointing to: NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, NS2.WORDPRESS.COM, and NS3.WORDPRESS.COM. Still the same problem though…only seeing my old wordpress.com admin panel.

URL for my domain is http://www.theloudestsound.com

Your name servers need to point to Godaddy’s name servers!!!!!

Great! This seems to be working. Now I’m going to import my old wordpress.com file into ww.wp.xz.cn. From now on do I keep the nameserver at GoDaddy as it is? I’m assuming yes because I’m actually hosting there and no longer at wordpress, correct? Thank you SO much!

One more thing…When I go to view my site I get this. ANy suggestions?

Warning: require(./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/s/b/s/sbsmike/html/index.php on line 17

Wonder if you got a good upload of all the WordPress files. See Uploading WordPress to a remote host.

I used GoDaddy’s application install. Should I try to uninstall the GoDaddy application and them reinstall?

    (@michaelh)

    I would try that.

ok great, I’ll try that then. I don’t see my .htaccess file in my root directory. Could that have something to do with it?

    Not really.
